As most, I was shaken by the video of the train in Spain, keeling out at twice it's speed and killing over 70 people. One of my distant relatives died on that train. My grandsons' great-aunt is Myrta Fariza, who died as a result of that tragic train wreck. Their mother is Myrta's niece.

I know two things. Grandma Fariza in Puerto Rico is heart-broken. She may have been invited to the wedding in Rome of her grandchild, but she didn't have a way to afford it, and couldn't attend.The other is that once an immigrant family to the continental U.S. achieves success, there are limitations to what they can offer their relatives. 

I feel there's a broken path and we need to fix it.
